Doug Belew
Southeast Regional Services Supervisor
Before joining Emerson, Doug was a plant supervisor in the
Water and Waste Water Treatment industry. Since coming to
Emerson, he has been involved in numerous oil analysis program
implementations and lubrication-related consulting activities.
He was instrumental in the development of the current training
curriculum for oil analysis courses and continues to serve
training as the primary instructor for oil analysis education. |

Dave Druif
Training Instructor
Emerson employee since 2007
Dave has spent more than two decades of his career in design and project engineering roles for U.S. military and space communication products. His engineering experience was later broadened through Application, Reliability, and Training Engineer roles with CSI / Emerson from 1991 to 1998. Dave then pursued product development opportunities with Radio Systems Corporation (RSC) in 1998, leading to his extensive involvement and expertise in Chinese manufacturing industries. Dave has a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Diego State University

Dale Hafner
Training Instructor
Before becoming part of the Emerson organization, Dale worked
in all facets of electric motor repair at Reliance Electric/Rockwell
Automation. In 1997 he accepted a position with Emerson
as a field service technician. In this role Dale was responsible
for establishing vibration routes, collecting and performing
data analysis, and performing thermographic surveys for
customers in a variety of industries. Although he is still
involved in some field service work, Dale officially joined
the training department in 1997 where he teaches courses
in vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and product
specific courses using CSI Machinery Analyzers and AMS™
Suite: Machinery Health™ Manager software. Dale holds a
degree in Computer Engineering, and certifications in Machine
Tool Theory, Vibration Analysis, and Infrared Thermography. |

Sherri
Pettitt
Junior Instructor
Emerson employee since 1997
Sherri Pettitt came to work at CSI (later to become Emerson) in 1997 as a lubrication analyst in the Trivector Laboratory. After receiving her BS degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Sherri moved into the role of Application Engineer for Lubrication Services where she performed lubrication training and Oilview Minilab start-up services for customers in the domestic and international areas. In 2000, Sherri became the Trivector Laboratory Lead Chemist, working closely with customers to achieve solutions to improve their lubrication program. In 2001, Sherri moved on to take the position of Detector Research and Design Chemist for a major medical company specializing in Positron Emission Tomography (PET), a technology devoted to cancer detection. After three years in the research field, Sherri has rejoined Emerson as a Junior Instructor and is currently teaching courses and developing e-learning course material. Sherri is a STLE-certified Oil Monitoring Analyst (OMA).

Ron Vowell
Training Instructor
Emerson employee since 1988
Ron's 30 years of maintenance experience spans a variety of countries, equipment types and machinery health technologies. Ron came to Emerson in 1988 through the Services organization, providing troubleshooting and diagnostic capabilities, consulting and training to a variety of industries. In 1996 He accepted a position in Sales, assisting in the marketing development of Latin America and the Caribbean. During this time he traveled extensively, representing Emerson at many conferences and trade shows. Ron spent two years working with the CSI 4500 Machinery Health Monitoring technology group, and was also involved in the testing and release of the CSI 9210 Machinery Health Transmitter.

Ray Watkins
Training Instructor
Emerson employee since 2006
Ray Watkins joined Emerson is 2006 with thirty years' experience in mechanical maintenance training and supervision. Ray began his career with TVA, holding various positions such as Pipefitter Welder, Maintenance Mechanic, Maintenance Foreman, and Lead Mechanical Maintenance Instructor. He spent the last ten years at various nuclear power plants developing and conducting mechanical maintenance training courses for piping, hydraulics, pneumatics, pumps, valves, turbines, heat exchanges, compressors, fans, and internal components. |

Chris Wills
Training Instructor
Emerson employee since 2000
Chris began his career as a vibration analyst in 1996 with PMCI in Elk Grove Village, IL, after spending six years in the HVAC and mechanical equipment repair field and four years
as a United States Marine. He has gained extensive experience in nearly every form of the industry including pulp and paper, steel, machining, chemical production and mining.
After joining Emerson in 2000, Chris soon became a valuable asset to the services department. In 2007, Chris joined the Emerson training department. His ability to explain complex
vibration principals in simple, easy to understand language helps to make him an informative and motivating training instructor.

Nancy Goettsch
Training Administrative Coordinator
Prior to her work with Emerson, Nancy Goettsch was a supervisor
at Unisys Corporation in Bristol, TN for over sixteen years.
After the plant closed in May of 1988, Nancy accepted a
position with Emerson in the Sales Department. Nancy has
worked as the Assistant to the National Sales Manager and
later the National Sales Administrator, managing the support
functions of the Sales Support Team. In 1996 Nancy moved
into the Training Department where she is responsible for
registration and customer relations. |

Mong-Ching
Lin
Training Supervisor
Mong-Ching began her career here in Knoxville as a analytical
chemist responsible for the daily operation of a materials
testing laboratory servicing both public and nuclear utilities.
She joined Emerson in 1996 as a senior lubrication chemist
and evolved the in-house laboratory to it’s current status
by implementing various technical procedures and advanced
instrumentation. This included the development of a unique
particle counting test method for which Emerson was awarded
a U.S. patent. In 2001 Mong-Ching accepted an assignment
as the North Asia regional manager for Machinery Health
Management. She returned to the United States in 2005 to
accept the position of Training Supervisor. Mong-Ching is
a STLE-certified Oil Monitoring Analyst (OMA) and holds
a B.S. from the University of Tennessee. |
